Good Day Friends and Neighbors:

 

The Westford Common Ground Group is a grass roots coalition of Westford residents who wish to help find effective means of educating all townspeople about key governance and financial matters so that we all can use this awareness to make informed choices when we vote.   

 

There are many topics of interest to Westford residents.  Here are several that we plan to focus on in the months ahead. 

• Budget: sources and uses of revenue (taxes, fees, operating expenses, capital investments, etc.)

• Schools: maintaining quality education for the benefit of both all students and the desirability of our town.

• Governance: exploring opportunities to gain increased involvement in decision making.

• Development: influencing the manner in which new development, zoning changes or special permits are approved to ensure that change contributes to the overall health of our community.

The Westford Common Ground Group mission is simple and straight-forward.

It’s all about “education and informed choices.”

 

• We intend to share fact-based information that is relevant to the topics of interests as stated above.

• We will do our best to educate our readers on the issues that affect Westford residents.

• We may offer our opinions on issues that fall into the categories listed.

• We will do our best to answer your questions, participate in open forums, collaborate with other like-minded groups and become a sounding board for issues that you may want to shine a light upon.

• We will never use or share your email addresses with anyone, any group, for any purpose.

• We are building a direct email distribution list of Westford residents.

Do you have a message you’d like to share with our subscribers?

Westford Common Ground has a large readership.

We encourage you to submit an essay or simply supply us with the rough content of your message and we will have our skilled writers create an essay for you. Then with your review and approval we will publish your message.

Send your essay in any editable format to admin@westfordcg.org and we will consider publishing it on our website. Your essay can be published anonymously or if you so choose, with the author’s name.
